Intro

Hi, my name’s Richu. I am from India, and 21 years old as of writing this. I did my schooling till 10th in one school and then high school in another where I passed with 9.6 and 9.4 GPA respectively (yea that right, I’m flexing my GPA because I would never do that shit in real life, but I worked my ass off to get these scores, so fuck it). I then took a gap year for personal reasons which I don’t want to get into right now, but I might some other day. After that I joined college for studying computer science and engineering, which brings us to present day, where I’m in my 3rd year and still grinding.

Well, everything up until now is what probably most people know me by. But I also would like to share my interest and hobbies with you all. Oh yea, that guy above whose premature balding and doesn’t look as good in real life is me. Hey! (everyone loves a bit of self-deprecating humor, right? Cool)

What are my Hobbies?

I love a lot of things actually, from playing games, reading books, manga, watching movies, TV shows and anime too.

Gaming is probably, the one thing I vividly remember loving even as a child. My brother and I loved playing games (we both still do) which mainly includes memories of me and my brother playing the first generation Nintendo and Sega games on a cheap rip off console. We also had a potato PC in which we played games like Harry Potter, Prince of Persia, GTA VC & SA, NFS etc. to name a few of my favorites. Then jump to the beginning of 2020 when I finally bought a good gaming PC, that’s when I really started gaming and catching up on the decades of games I never got to play.

Movies and TV shows was something that was always there in my life and always gave me enjoyment. Even though I’m no critic, I love watching movies in a critical point of view, trying to understand the cinematography, sound design, editing choices and more. This is something new for me, watching movies for the effort put into it, rather than for some brain off enjoyment I used to and so far I’ve been loving this whole new dimension.

Reading is a weird one, I never liked reading and never considered myself to be an avid reader. But playing The Witcher games changed that. I will write about how much I love the Witcher series in another post, but tldr; I loved the lore and universe so much that I just had to have more. And thus bought my first-ever book – The Last Wish. I’m still really new to being a reader, and I’m quite enjoying myself so far. Hopefully more blog posts about books to come 😉

It took me a solid 2 weeks to write this single post, not a good sign, I know. But I’m still hoping to make this my next hobby. By making this a place where I can free my thoughts, express my opinions on things and just improve the art of expressing oneself. So fingers crossed!

Thanks for reading <3
